In 2016, Qualcomm made its latest flagship processor, the Snapdragon 835, official.
And now ASUS has teased on Twitter the arrival of that processor, what ASUS calls the “world’s best processor,” for its upcoming flagship ZenFone handset. The manufacturer plans on announcing the handset on January 4, at 11:30am PST, during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
The tweet doesn’t include a lot of details, other than including a few hashtags, one of which is for ZenFone, and the unveiling date.
Level up! World's best processor now fully unleashed the potential! Save the date: 01.04.17 #ASUS #ZenFone #Zennovation #CES2017! pic.twitter.com/c6WuavRiHT

The image attached with the tweet does show a small ASUS-branded box, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor inside of it, but there’s no branding on the processor itself.
Still, the likely bet is that ASUS plans on using the Snapdragon 835 in its upcoming ZenFone.
Are you looking forward to seeing a new ZenFone?
