The ay Store is finally showing up for a new batch of Chromebooks.
Various user reports indicate the Dell Chromebook 13, HChromebook, Samsung Chromebook 3, AS C301SA can now perform new tricks like using Microsoft Office or playing Clash of Clans.
If you have the right hardware, you’ll need to switch to the dev channel. After a restart you’ll be presented with the ay Store, which will allow you to download a whole range of apps that will make your Chromebook more useful.
Keep in mind that since you’re on the dev channel, things could be a little buggy. You’ll also see several updates as this moves through the beta then finally to the stable build. If you’d rather wait for official support, keep an eye on ’s Chromium page that tracks which Chromebooks are scheduled to get Android app support.
The story behind the story: The rollout of the ay Store to the vast legion of Chromebooks out there has been quite slow. unveiled the plans at I/O in May, but official support is still only on three computers: the Asus Chromebook Flip, 2015 xel, Acer Chromebook R11/C738T.
