The Nvidia Shield is a solid performer, serving as one of the best showcases to what’s possible with Android TV. There’s a new update that improves on the audio experience, along with delivering the latest security patch.

Making sure your device is running the latest available software is a good housekeeping practice, ensuring you have the latest features with fewer bugs gaping security holes.
Android ar
Moto 360 (second generation): This update gives you the latest security patches for October. Additionally, it fixes some issues being reported by those who were trying to pair the watch with an ione 7.
Moto 360 Sport: Same story here. Your watch will also need to have a sufficient level of power to install the update, so be sure you’re near the charging cradle.
Android TV
Nvidia Shield: The Shield Experience Upgrade 3.3 brings a lot of under-the-hood improvements. The official changelog lists the following:
- Adds Dolby Atmos audio pass-through support in ex
- Delivers the latest monthly Android security updates
- Adds support for Vulkan 1.0.1.0 Conformance Test Suite
This will improve the audio experience, particularly if you’re using pass-through with something like ex Server. There are also some bug fixes baked in as well, though we’re still waiting for Nougat.
