It’s been a rough few weeks for Samsung with the Note7 crisis. But one thing the company has done rather well with over the last several months has been pushing out frequent security updates.

They don’t come as zippy as they do on Nexus devices, but you’ll find that the company does regularly deliver the monthly patches for its flagship phones. That’s the case this week for AT&T T-Mobile models, with the latter also gaining access to the new Samsung Cloud.

Each week, we round up all the major software updates to hit the Android ecosystem, including phones tablets on U.S. carriers, unlocked phones, smartwatches, Android TV devices. Making sure your device is running the latest available software is a good housekeeping practice, ensuring you have the latest features with fewer bugs security holes.

T-Mobile

Galaxy S7: Not only are you getting the September security patch, but the Samsung Cloud backup feature that first debuted with the Galaxy Note7 is headed your way. The full details are on T-Mobile’s update page. 

Android lice

Galaxy S7 ge: It’s the same story for the curvier model, with the September patches Samsung Cloud feature. You’re still on Android 6.0.1 (aren’t we all?), according to T-Mobile.

AT&T

Galaxy S7: September security patches are here for the AT&T variant. No sign of Samsung Cloud, however, so you’ll have to do without that for now. AT&T also offers a changelog.

Galaxy S7 ge: Same deal here, so be sure to check for an AT&T update on your phone.

Oneus

Oneus X: Better late than never, as this phone is finally getting access to a Marshmallow build. Check with Oneus for details about the update, which also upgrades the launcher makes other stability improvements.

Oneus 3: The Oneus beta community is pretty active. There’s a new community build of OxygenOS 3.5.2 that lets you uninstall some preinstalled apps, take exped screenshots, fixes numerous bugs.
