’re nearing ever-so-closely to the official launch date of Android N, in preparation for its arrival, has published its final version of the developer preview.
Developer eview 4 comes with all the features showcased at I/O, including multi-window, direct-reply notifications, more. (If you need a refresher on what’s coming, we’ve got you covered.) But this finalized version of the beta also allows developers to publish their apps built via the various ay Store release channels, including alpha, beta, production—the last of which would make the apps available to those running the Android N preview.
The story behind the story: This is the first time that ’s allowed this sort of pre-release ability. It’ll enable those users who are running the latest developer preview to test backward compatibility stability of any apps running A 24.
