You don’t always need a br-new phone to get the latest update of Android—a case in point is Verizon’s G3. The device is the latest to get the bump to Marshmallow, while a lot of other newer devices have to wait on the sidelines.

Each week, we compile all the major software updates to hit the Android ecosystem, including phones tablets on U.S. carriers, unlocked phones, Android ar smartwatches, Android TV devices. Making sure your device is running the latest available software is a good housekeeping practice, ensuring you have the latest features with fewer bugs gaping security holes.

G3: According to a lengthy Reddit post, Marshmallow is coming to the previous-generation G3. The official Verizon update page doesn’t yet reflect this, but there’s a large number of people vouching for the update, so you should expect to see it soon. 

V10: The T-Mobile update page now lists the V10 as one of the devices scheduled for a Marshmallow update. ’ll be sure to let you know when it goes live.

HTC

One A9: HTC’s Mo Versi took to Twitter to announce the nuary security update is on its way to those with an unlocked device. The update includes bug fixes, so look for it to hit your phone soon.

M8 (Sprint): Good news if you have the Sprint-bred version of the One M8, as Marshmallow is on its way. The HTC update page confirms this, along with offering instructions to trigger the update.

Oneus

Oneus One: OxygenOS 2.1.4 is now available for Oneus’ first phone. OxygenOS on the Oneus One is community-driven, but officially sanctioned by Oneus (the only officially available OS for the Oneus One is Cyanogen OS). So you won’t get it over-the-air: you need download the file flash the ROM yourself. You can grab it from the Oneus forums. y special attention to the forum post’s warnings about how not to flash the ROM, lest you mess up your phone.
