There are so many Android players in this game that it’s becoming a big of a dramedy watching a new manufacturer try differentiate itself among the competition.

TV is not particularly concerned with that, however. It considers itself a “global company” that’s interested in more than just manufacturing Android devices (the company makes a Smart TV a smart bike, for instance). But for it to make any fans in the U.S., it needs to do something attractive outlish. It’s hoping to get you to notice its Max o by using Qualcomm’s latest chipset as the hook, line, sinker. 

There’s nothing particularly extraordinary about this phablet-sized Android device, other than it’s the first phone to market with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820. Quite frankly, it looks like plenty of other phones on the market. It’s thin, gold-colored, covered in brushed aluminum. And while it runs Android 6.0, the interface has a touch of iOS 9 to it, a majority of the content in its media hub is primarily in Chinese. Its specifications are pretty impressive, though. In addition to the 2.2GHz Snapdragon 820, it features 4GB of RAM, a 21-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 3400mAh battery pack, a bright beautiful 6.33-inch screen.

The Max o isn’t available in the U.S. just yet, but TV plans to bring stateside relatively soon. en that happens, we’ll follow up with a full review.
