If anybody needs a hit right now, it’s HTC. The latest One M9 smartphone isn’t selling very well the company’s stock price has tanked.
It appears HTC is going for one last shot at a flagship phone, according to leaked images from Steve Hemmerstoffer, who runs the @onleaks account.
OK so this is what that crappy HTC’s ione 6 render was all about…I can’t believe this is real… #HTC #HTCAero #HTCA9 pic.twitter.com/s6fIyuFtdm

ile the images aren’t of great quality, they show a device that looks like it’s taken more than a few design cues from the ione 6, with more prominent antenna lines a flatter build. HTC’s One series hasn’t iterated much with each annual upgrade, that really hurt it this year with a lackluster device with a subpar camera.
HTC CEO Cher ng promised a new “hero product” in October, so this could be the rumored device codenamed, “Aero.” An Android Central report says the phone will have a deca-core Tek X20 processor, 4GB of RAM, a 3,500mAh battery. These specs could turn out differently in a final, polished version.
The story behind the story: HTC’s stock took a major dive this year, leaving the company essentially valueless, trading below cash on h. It’s hard to see another phone reversing the company’s fortunes, as those willing to spend flagship money may be more tempted by a Galaxy S6, Note 5, or S6 ge+.
