Fixing Stagefright was again the focus in the world of Android updates this week. enty of Verizon devices AT&T’s Galaxy Note 4 joined the club of devices patched for the Stagefright vulnerability.
It’s a big vulnerability, so pay attention to that update button if your device hasn’t been updated yet.

AT&T
Galaxy Note 4: ok for an over-the-air update with “device security enhancements” targeted at Stagefright. After I got the update on my device, I ran the Symantec Stagefright detector app it found I was in the clear. Unfortunately, you’re still stuck on Android 5.0.1.
Verizon
Galaxy Note ge: The original curved phone is getting a patch to prevent you from those malicious MMS messages. A Verizon update should be ready for you now.
Galaxy S6 ge: Not only do you get a Stagefright fix, but Verizon is bumping you all the way up to Android 5.1.1.
Galaxy S6: Same here for the non-curved edition: a Stagefright fix Android 5.1.1. Grab your update from Verizon.
Galaxy Tab 4 10.1: One of Samsung’s many tablets is getting love too, with this device also joining the Android 5.1.1 parade.
Sprint
HTC One M8: It’s Stagefright patch time for you, so be sure to hit that update button if the fix from Sprint is ready to roll out your way.
Nexus
Stagefright: added two more sets of factory images that include the Stagefright patch for the T-Mobile oject Fi versions of the Nexus 6. You can download them directly from .
