Why trust GreenbotOneus is back with a vengeance. The company officially announced the Oneus 2, its second-generation flagship device, via a gimmicky virtual reality press conference. Though you might already know most of its specifications from the numerous leaks that have been teased over the past few weeks, Oneus still left a few surprises for the launch date.

If you were following along with the hype, you already know that the Oneus 2 is powered by a 64-bit, 1.8GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor 4GB of RAM. You know it features a fingerprint scanner embedded into the Home button, a more angular design, a B Type-C connector.
That reversible, B Type-C connector tho.
But what you might not know is that the Oneus 2 is equipped with a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, a bottom-facing speaker. The company didn’t include a microSD expansion slot, but it does offer 64GB of onboard storage right out of the gate, as well as dual nano-SIM slots, a three-position alert switch—set it to On, iority, or Silent — a 3,300mAh battery pack. The battery in the Oneus 2 currently outranks the Samsung Galaxy S6 G4’s respective battery packs, but whether it can outlast either of them is another thing entirely. th only a 1080p display, it should last a lot longer.
If you don’t like the “Sstone Black” cover that comes with the Oneus 2, you can choose from one of these four.
Oneus is offering a variety of swappable back covers for you to customize the Oneus 2 to your liking. You can choose between a bamboo, rose wood, black wood, or kevlar back. By default, the phone comes with a similar velour-like gray back as its predecessor.
A phone is a phone of course, even if it’s not running ’s Android.
The company kept its sub-$450 promise, too. The Oneus 2 will sell for $389 beginning August 11. A 16GB version of the Oneus 2 with 3GB of RAM will follow shortly thereafter for $329.
Still the same ol’ invite system
Oneus promised it would launch an “improved version” of the invite system for the Oneus 2, but don’t get your hopes up just yet. Even though the phone sounds like a good deal for the price, you’ll still have to sign up for an invite before you can actually buy the phone. There will be nine “pop up experience” centers starting ly 31 where fans can sign up, but if you can’t make one of those, you’re stuck with the Oneus forums or the company’s social media channels to score an invite.
Oneus does promise a lot more inventory at launch, so it should be easier for fans to pick one up right away.
