ave it to Oneus to create a preordering system that doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the phone right away.

Oneus announced on its blog Monday you’ll be able to pre-order the Oneus One beginning Oct. 27 at 11 AM EST. But if you really want the phone you should take advantage of Oneus’s offer to set up your order in advance, as in typical Oneus fashion there is no guarantee you’ll actually get the device.

The preorders will be a first-come, first-served selloff of existing inventory. So the early birds will probably get one, but others may have to wait their turn. Oneus did not specify what models are available or how long the wait could be. You can drop out of the pre-order queue if you happen to score an invite.

Oneus sells a 16GB white 64GB sstone black model, priced at $299 $349. The company is also throwing in discounts on accessories, such as cases headphones.

The story behind the story: Getting your hs on a Oneus One hasn’t been easy, as the only way has been scoring an invite from another owner, then waiting to hear that you have been granted permission to buy one. Our initial review of the Oneus One was favorable, but the device has been plagued with late software updates  the occasional exploding battery since its launch.
