Android 4.4.3 update rolling out for AT&T HTC One M8

It’s better late than never for AT&T’s edition of the HTC One M8. The flagship phone is finally being updated to Android 4.4.3, which contains all the obligatory bug fixes performance updates promised over a month ago.

A member of the XDA Developers forum posted that the update hit their device, with others writing they were seeing it on their phones as well.

The new software fixes a bug with the phone’s camera, adds a new file manager, optimizes the Fi, Bluetooth, network connectivity.

Android 4.4.3 HTC Sense 6.0 mean the device is up to date.

ile Android is currently at 4.4.4, HTC’s Vice esident of Management Mo Versi previously said there would be “no need” for the latest version to l on the One M8. The rollout began with the developer edition, then hitting T-Mobile prior to arrival on AT&T. It still has not made it to Verizon, which is infamous for delaying software updates.

After this release the next major update for the phone will likely come when Android possibly mon Meringue e, launches in the fall. 

The AT&T download is still rolling out in a staggered fashion, with HTC One owners taking to Twitter over the last several days to proclaim they have it. Versi has retweeted several of them, especially those who praise HTC, from his account.
