U.S. Cellular customers on a budget have a new smartphone that just might suit them well. The Gr S o is a 5-inch smartphone that packs a punch that’s incredibly impressive for it’s $100 price point (on contract).

Shipping a 5-inch 720p HD I display, complete with Dragontrail glass, ZTE isn’t trying to outgun those $500+ phones with the Gr S o. Instead, the smartphone comes with enough hardware to put it in the mid-tier market, where the rest of the specs would be considered on the higher end of the spectrum. This includes the 2.3GHz Quad-core Qualcomm MSM8974AB (Snapdragon 801), 2GB of RAM, 13 megapixel rear camera, NFC, support for -Fi a/b/g/n/ac stards.

The Gr S o ships with only a 2,300 mAh battery, though the 720p display may help it chug along a little longer than its 1080p counterparts. It also has only 8GB of internal storage. ckily, the micro SD card slot will allow the user to add an additional 32GB.

It’s pretty hard to see any genuine downsides to the Gr S o, considering the price, besides the fact that it’s limited to one regional carrier in the U.S. Still, given its low price point, I’d be willing to be that there will be quite a few customers that plan on grabbing this ZTE phone. U.S. Cellular customers that aren’t willing to sign a two-year contract for the Gr S o will also be happy to see that it’s off-contract price is only $390.
