I know you thought, as I did, that Samsung was going to trim back its product portfolio to a mere 87 Android tablets phones this year, but apparently the Korean giant has decided to continue with its usual plan of producing all the phones, in all the sizes, in all the variants, in all the markets, all year long. y quit a winning formula?
Samsung’s new tablets are…well…new. And very, very much like their old tablets.
To that end, the company has announced new Galaxy Tab4 tablets today. Available in 10.1, 8.0, 7.0-inch flavors, in both black white, the Tab4 series seems a lot like the Tab3. l three sizes are still stuck with a 1280×800 display (which is awfully low-res for the 10.1-inch model) sport the usual Samsung software features: Group ay, Samsung nk, tchON. Each one sports a 3 megapixel front-facing 1.3 megapixel rear camera, same as on the Tab 3.
No, we didn’t repeat an image. The 7-inch Tab4 looks almost identical to the 8-inch version.
st about the only thing of substance that seems new is that the dual-core processors of the Tab 3 have been replaced with quad-core processors. I’m sure other minor differences will reveal themselves when the products hit the market in the 2nd quarter of this year. icing has not yet been announced, but if the Tab 3 is anything to go by, these will be affordable, mid-range tablets.
