Apple-Music-announced

At its World Wide Developer Conference today, Apple announced its own music streaming service — Apple Music.

The “revolutionary” new music streaming service is going to come with Beats 1 — a 24 x 7 live music radio station that will be available in 100 countries — and Music Connect, a Ping like social media platform for artists and DJs to connect to their fans.

The service is scheduled to launch on June 30 for $9.99 per month, though Apple will be making it available for free for the first three months. The service will be available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, OS X and Windows based PCs, as well as Android. The Android version of app will not be available at launch though, and is scheduled to launch later this fall.
