Today, in a blog post over at their official blog, the AOKP team provided a status update about their ROM based on 4.3. While most ROM developers have already released nightly or alpha builds of their ROMs for various devices based on Android 4.3, the AOKP team has been pretty quiet.
In the blog post, the team assured that they are working hard on bringing AOKP to the latest version of Android, and progress is also being made, even though their Gerrit and GitHub account suggests otherwise. They confirmed that they have started merging AOKP and AOSP sources together, and are handling all the conflicts one step at a time. They also confirmed that, unlike previously, users will get to see every popular feature in AOKP right from the first build.
At the moment, AOKP 4.3 is booting for the Nexus 4 and the Verizon Galaxy S4, and all the issues are being sorted out by the team on these devices. The team will continue solving the issues, and add more devices to its supported list, and hopes to release a new build soon.
