LG V30 user manual

LG has had its V-series of handsets on the market for quite awhile now, with two iterations filling out the back half of 2016 and 2015 with LG-branded high-end smartphones.

And now the company plans on unveiling the V30 before the end of August, with launch dates planned for global markets in September. Before that happens, though, the rumor mill won’t rest until every detail is exposed ahead of its announcement. Today, for instance, sees the arrival of yet another look at the unannounced V30, this time in the form of an image allegedly taken from the user manual of the handset.

The image was shared to Twitter by serial leaker @OnLeaks, and it shows a device that we’ve seen recently in leaked CAD renders, but in a more official-looking format. We can see the V30 will have a tall display, similar to the G6 before it, and it will boast minimized bezels as well. Around back, there’s the standard fingerprint reader near the middle of the handset. Above that, near the top edge, there are a pair of rear-facing cameras, with a flash unit just to the side.

The phone itself looks pretty thin, so it will be interesting to see what the size of the battery inside is.

Finally, the leaked image also appears to confirm the rumors all over again: LG will not be including a secondary display on the V30. The secondary display was one of the features that made the V-series of handsets stand out, so LG will have to come up with another reason why someone would want to buy the V30 instead of, say, the G6. An OLED display may do the trick for some, but perhaps not most.

Are you using a V20 right now, and are you excited to see what the V30 has to offer?
