In January of 2015, Google’s Android distribution numbers showed yet another strong month for Android 4.4 KitKat, but no sign of Android 5.0 Lollipop.

On Monday, February 2, Google officially released the latest Android distribution numbers, as usual ending a period of a 7-day stretch and ending today. The numbers, which are compiled from Android devices that access the Google Play store and showcase which version of Android they’re running, show that Android 4.4 KitKat saw another month of growth, but its climb was far shorter this time around. KitKat now resides at 39.7%, versus the 39.1 percent it held in January.

Android 4.1 through Android 4.3 Jelly Bean saw a drop as well, from 46 percent in January to 43 percent this month. Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich version saw a drop to 6.4%.

Finally, Android 5.0 Lollipop finally showed up in the chart, topping out at 1.6 percent. While that’s not a big number just yet, it’s a number that will surely climb by a large margin in the coming months as new devices are shipped with the latest version of Android pre-installed.
