A couple of days ago in an interview with CNETDirector of Engineering for Android Wear, David Singleton, and VP of Engineering, Hiroshi Lockheimer, revealed that the Android Wear team will be rolling out several software updates before the end of this year.

Now, if a reliable source of Android Police is to be believed, Google is apparently planning on rolling out the Android Wear 2.0 update on October 15th.

It is not yet known as to what all changes Android Wear 2.0 will incorporate, but a major jump in version number means that there are going to be some major changes and bug-fixes onboard.

A good bet is support for GPS and some new sensors, which some of the recently announced Android Wear devices feature.

While a concrete date for a software roll-out is difficult to nail down, it is very much possible that Google will roll out this Wear 2.0 update sometime around October 15th.
