Android Pay

After months of reports and teasing, Google today officially launched Android Pay in the United Kingdom. This makes the UK the second country after the United States where Android Pay is available.

For now, Android Pay in the UK will support credit and debit cards from MasterCard and Visa issued by some of the major banks and financial institutions, including Bank of Scotland, First Direct, Halifax, HSBC, Lloyds Bank, M&S Bank, MBNA, and Nationwide Building Society.

Some retailers in the country that will support Android Pay include Boots, Costa Coffee, KFC, Transport for London, Starbucks, and more.

If you live in the United Kingdom, you can now go ahead and download the official Android Pay app from the Google Play Store. Android Pay works with almost all Android devices running KitKat or higher that have the required NFC hardware.
