Android Pay was rumored leading up to the Google I/O conference, which began earlier today, and now it’s official.
During the I/O keynote, Google officially unveiled Android Pay, which is exactly what it sounds like: a new mobile payments solution. With Pay, Android users will have a ton of features baked into the means of buying content from their mobile devices, all with the security of their fingerprint. With Pay, Android users will be able to buy things from apps, including the Target app (pictured in this article), without having to constantly input their credit card information.
Android Pay will be coming to Android M, the new software platform Google announced as well, which is set to launch later this year.
