Amidst a barrage of announcements at its opening Google I/O keynote, Google also dropped the third Developer Preview of Android N. Unlike the previous two releases, which were alpha releases, the third Developer Review release is being tagged as the first beta release of Android N by Google.
If you are not running the Android N Developer Preview on your phone, you can grab the factory image from Google’s website and flash it manually on the handset. Alternatively, you can enrol in the Android beta program from android.com/beta and receive an OTA update for the latest developer preview of Android N. Like before, the latest developer preview of Android N is available for the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6, Pixel C, Nexus Player, and Nexus 9.
The latest release of Android N’s Developer Preview packs in some new additions and features, including initial support for Daydream VR tools, a sustained performance mode, number-blocking, and more. You can also find a list of bug fixes and issues present in Android N Developer Preview 3 here.
