Despite the fact that Android L, or Lollipop, has only recently started making its way to devices out in the real world that aren’t Nexus-branded, it looks like Google’s prepping the debut of another version.
According to a report published by Android Police, “Android M” is going to make its debut at this year’s I/O conference, which is scheduled to take place on May 28 and May 29. According to a screenshot grabbed of the conference schedule, Android M is geared towards expanding Android into workplaces in a big way. The reference is under the “Android for Work” conference, which is scheduled to take place on May 28.
Unfortunately, as of this writing, Google has pulled the reference to Android M and the Android at Work conference page. So, while it’s a safe bet that a new version of Android is going to be showcased at this year’s conference, Google is still trying to keep some surprise in store.
