In a surprising move, Google has updated the Android L Developer Preview images for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013).

While there is no official change-log for the update, the Google Developers website does state that the updated build contains support for the preview platform of Google Fit.

There are no other visual changes in this build besides the small bump in Android build number to LPV81C (from LPV79). It is not yet clear as to whether this build contains any kind of bug-fixes or not, but the chances of that happening are pretty much bleak since this is still a Developer Preview build.

Google’s website does state that “a special version of the Android L Developer Preview system image with Google Fit support.” Users can get their hands on these special Android L images from Google’s Developer website for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013).
