Joining the Google Play edition of the LG G Pad 8.3 for some Lollipop love is Sony’s Z Ultra. The 6.44-inch phone-cum-tablet hybrid is the second device in the Google Play edition program from Google to receive the update.

The 397MB OTA brings the unskinned flavour of Android 5.0 to the Z Ultra with all its goodies, including lockscreen notifications, a power saver mode, Material Design and more. The roll out seems to have just begun by Sony and Google, so if you have not already received the update, you will likely receive it over the next couple of days.

Slowly but steadily, Google and other OEMs have been upgrading their devices to Android 5.0. All the Nexus devices, except for the 3G variants of the Nexus 7, have already been updated to Lollipop, with Nvidia’s SHIELD tablet, the LG G Pad 8.3, the Moto X and the Moto G being the other notable devices to be updated to the very latest version of Android within a month of its release.
