Samsung has already started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5, but owners of its predecessor — the Galaxy S4 — are still patiently waiting for the Korean company to roll out the update for their device.

To their delight though, an official Android 5.0.1 based Lollipop firmware for the Galaxy S4 has made its way to the Internet. The firmware is meant for the Chinese region, but does include English as a system language. However, some of the system settings and features will still remain localized to Chinese even if you switch to English as a system language. Additionally, the firmware lacks a English keyboard, but you can always sideload third party keyboards to circumvent this issue.

Apart from this minor gripe, the firmware is stable enough to be used on a daily driver basis. It also includes all of Samsung’s software features, including Multi window, which works flawlessly as reported by users who have already installed the ROM on their handset.

Before you head over to install the ROM, make sure to create a backup of all your data since installing this leaked firmware will wipe the handset completely clean.
