Motorola and Google have started rolling out the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for the Google Play edition of the Moto G.

Motorola has just started rolling out the update, so chances are it will not be immediately available on your handset. You will have to wait for a few days for the update to show up on your phone, or you can always manually download the OTA and sideload it.

The update comes three weeks after Motorola rolled out the Lollipop update for the 2nd gen. Moto G in the United States.

Aside the Moto G GPe, other GPe devices that have already been updated to Lollipop include the HTC One M7, M8, the Sony Z Ultra and the LG G Pad 8.3.
