It’s the beginning December, and so Google has seen fit to release the next installment of its Android distribution numbers.

The trend for Android 4.4 KitKat continues, as the version climbs in the percentage numbers. This latest period of results was taken over the last seven days, ending on Monday, December 1, and reveals that Android 4.4 KitKat is now on 33.9% of devices out there in the wild (based on Google’s own polling practices). Compare that to the results published in November, where KitKat resided at 30.2 percent.

When it comes to Jelly Bean, it’s still Android 4.1.x that reigns supreme with 21.3 percent, while Android 4.2.x resides just over 20 percent, and Android 4.3 sits at 7%. The full range of Android 4.0.x Ice Cream Sandwich takes up 7.8 percent. Android 2.3.x Gingerbread is sitting at 9.1 percent, while Android 2.2 Froyo has dropped to 0.5%. Last month, Froyo was at 0.6%.
