Amazon may not be afraid to price its first smartphone, the Fire Phone, well above what most people are willing to pay for it without a contract, but the company is also not afraid to give it limited-time price drops, either.
While many would argue that Amazon should probably just keep the smartphone well below its normal $449 unlocked asking price, Amazon has yet to make that decision just yet. Instead, the digital retail giant opts to give limited time promotion prices to the device, just as they are today. Right now, for anyone that’s interested, Amazon’s Fire Phone is available for $199, unlocked.
Perhaps the best part of the deal, though, is Amazon’s still including a year’s worth of Amazon Prime along with the purchase.
