Amazon Fire TV

Amazon officially launched their Fire TV, the set-top box alternative to others out there, in the beginning of April of this year. Now, while it’s been available only in the United States since then, that changes today as the company has officially opened preorders for specific countries across the pond.

Amazon has opened up listings for the Fire TV in both the United Kingdom and Germany. In the latter country, the price is set at 99 euros, but for Amazon Prime members they’ll be able to pick up the new box for only 49 euros. It is available fore preorder now, and Amazon says it will start shipping on September 25 (and become widely available at that time, too). The United Kingdom gets the Fire TV a bit later, all the way on October 23, and it will sell for £79, or £49 for Prime subscribers.

With both set-top boxes there will be plenty of media content to binge watch, and as with the U.S.-based version there will be plenty of games to play on your TV, especially with the gaming controller that Amazon offers.
