Alcatel OneTouch Pixi3

Alcatel might be a relatively unknown smartphone vendor in the industry, but its latest offering — the Pixi 3 — sure is interesting. The handset comes in four different screen configurations and will be available running three different OSes — Windows Phone, Android and Firefox OS.

The Pixi 3 is available in 3.5-inch, 4-inch, 4.5-inch and 5-inch screen configurations. The 3.5-inch Pixi is the only one that supports 3G networks, with all the other three handsets supporting LTE networks. All the four handsets are budget oriented and will be available for purchase running either Windows Phone, Android or Firefox OS.

“Our users do not want complicated systems. They want something familiar from their work environment in the office, but also on a smartphone.” said Alcatel OneTouch Chief Marketing Officer Dan Dery.

Alcatel, however, will not be providing users with the option to freely switch between OSes. Instead, the handset will be locked to the OS it initially ships with. The company will reveal more information about these devices, including their pricing and availability details, at CES 2015 next week.
