Last month, the CyanogenMod team added a powerful new theme manager to their ROM, which allows users to customize nearly all the aspect of the OS by applying different themes. This includes the ability to change the font, icons, sounds, wallpaper, system accent color and more.
The team has now released their Cyanogen Theme Showcase app on the Play Store, which would act as a store for all the themes supported by the engine.
The Theme store app will make it easier for users to find and apply new themes. It would also give more exposure to a developer’s work, which should encourage them to work harder and bring them more revenue.
CyanogenMod’s theme engine will showcase all the legacy themes that were built on the T-Mobile theme engine along with themes that are based on the new engine as well as icon packs that support launchers like Trebuchet, Nova and Go Launcher etc.
The app is compatible only with only selected devices at the moment, presumably the ones running CyanogenMod itself.
If you are a CM user, head over to the Play Store to download the app. Theme developers can head over to this Wiki to find out how they can submit their themes to CyanogenMod.
