After sending out the initial batches of handsets to Smash The Past contest winners, OnePlus has announced that it will soon be holding two contests to giveaway their first major batch of invites. Before that though, the company will be sending out invites to some of its earliest and active forum members as an act of gratitude.
Their invite system will be automatically sending invites based on three parameters: the date of registration, number of posts and recent activity. So, if you have been a member of the OnePlus forums for quite a while now and have been consistently contributing on their forums, chances are an invite should land in your inbox within the next few days.
To avoid creating a second-hand invite market, OnePlus has made sure that the invite links only work for 24 hours after being sent out. If the user does not redeem his invite during this period, they will automatically pass it on to the next eligible user in the queue.
The invites and the contests that will be held later this month will be for the 64GB Sandstone Black variant of the OnePlus One.
