Google is bringing some decent social networking related updates to the Play Store with the addition of a new People section right within the app. This will help users check out the activity of their Google+ circles, which includes apps that your friends might have reviewed or even shared on G+. These changes have been spotted with the current version of the Play Store(4.6.17), so we’re guessing it won’t need a formal update.

Just like any social feature from Google, there are suggestions here to follow certain people based on your interest and likes. This is a very neat feature which we’re guessing can be turned off via settings for people with privacy concerns. Google also recently rolled out the ability to check your own activity with the ‘My Play Activity’ tab on the Play Store as well.

This new feature should gradually make its way to the Play Store, so don’t lose patience if you don’t see it yet. It seems like American customers are getting it first followed by the rest of the globe.

What do you think of this new social feature from Google?
