Earlier today, Sony announced its compact high-end smartphone — the Z1 Compact and the Xperia Z1S for T-Mobile. However, the company is not yet done and will reveal its flagship handset and tablet for 2014 as early as MWC next month.
Thanks to @evleaks, we now know that the Sony “Sirius” is the company’s flagship for the first half of 2014 and will come with a Qualcomm MSM8974AB SoC with a 5.2-inch screen. Evan also states that the handset will also be available on Verizon’s network, which if true, will be a first for Sony since the Xperia Play.
The “Sirius” launch will be accompanied by the company’s high-end tablet — codenamed “Castor”. Not much is known about the tablet except that it will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8974AB SoC as well.
With MWC approaching fast, expect more details and pictures of the devices in action to leak in the upcoming weeks.
