Yesterday, the Paranoid Android team released the first beta of their ROM, based on the Android 4.4 KitKat sources. Following on their footsteps is Team Kang, which today, released the first build of AOKP 4.4 for a bunch of devices.
Like the Paranoid Android ROM, though, the first build lacks a lot of features for which AOKP ROM is popularly known for. Right now, the build only contains some basic features like integrated SuperSu, Advance Power menu, Volume rocker wake and music controls and a clear all button in the Recents menu among other things.
Below is the list of supported devices for which the first build has been released -:
- Nexus 5
- Nexus 4
- Nexus 10
- Nexus 7 (2013)
- Galaxy Nexus
- Galaxy S 3 (Verizon, ATT, T-Mo, USC)
- Galaxy S 4 (Verizon, Sprint, T-Mo, USC)
- Galaxy Note 2 (ATT, T-Mo, LTE-Intl.)
- HTC One (ATT, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mo, Intl.)
- Xperia Z, ZL
- Xperia T
- Xperia V
This is the first nightly from Team Kang so there might be a few issues here and there. However, expect them to add more features, squash bugs and roll out nightlies more frequently once the holiday season is over. Support for more devices will also be added as and when work is completed on them.
The latest AOKP 4.4 nightly build can be downloaded from the AOKP’s device page.
