Sony has just announced their Q2 fiscal results providing sales figure for its Xperia handsets, and its overall financial condition. Sony Mobile managed to ship 10 million units of Xperia handsets in the quarter ending on September 2013.

In the previous quarter, Sony had managed to sell 9.6 million Xperia smartphones and 8.8 million in the same quarter previous year. Sony also confirmed that it will continue focusing on the premium high-end segment, especially since its first half flagship – the Xperia Z1 – was among the top three handsets, revenue wise, for the company in more than 20 countries.

On an YoY basis, Sony posted a growth of 39.3% for its mobile division. However, its Camera and PC divisions showed negative growth due to challenging conditions.
