Ever since Apple released the iPhone 5s with a 64-bit processors, rumors have been floating around that Qualcomm and Samsung would be releasing 64-bit chips by early next year.

A new report from a Korean website suggests that the 64-bit processor from Samsung is in the near-final stages of development. Apparently, all the hard part has been overcome with the chip ready for entering the pre-production stages and Samsung looking into the logistics part.

There is a high probability that Samsung would be using this new 64-bit processor in its next year flagship – the Galaxy S5. The S5 is expected to sport a true Octa-core processor with 64-bit cores.
