The HTC Dot View case gains a few new tricks with an update to its accompanying Android app.

Version 2.1 of the HTC Dot View app now lets you check out the date, time, temperature, or battery status by tapping the clock display. You can also swipe up to get “mealtime” notifications, which are restaurant suggestions tied into HTC’s SenseHome software. You’ll need to flip this on in BlinkFeed in order to see these suggestions.
