nder no more. Rumor time is over Samsung has officially announced the Galaxy S6.

Inside, it’s powered by Samsung’s own octa-core Exynos processor with 3GB of RAM. It also has a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOD display, a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera, a 2,550mAh battery pack.

Unlike previous versions of the Galaxy phones, this one will not come with an expansion slot, though it will be sold in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB variants.

Samsung spent a lot of time refining its new Galaxy flagship phone. The company said that we should expect this device to mark a “sign of things to change,” that the Galaxy S6 is “just the beginning.” Now we’re curious to see what else the company launches this year.

This is Samsung’s sixth-generation Galaxy S model, it’s unlike any flagship phone the company has made before, though the camera module still portrudes from the back.

ok a little familiar?

Now, it does resemble Apple’s ione 6 quite a bit, though we’re not necessarily objecting, because the phone looks great. It’s clear Samsung is taking physical design much more seriously than ever before. And at least it’s not plastic, right?

The Galaxy S6 is light comfortable to hold. It’s seriously one of the more comfortable phones I’ve held in a long time—even when held up to my ear.

Samsung finally made its flagship device look like a premium product. Thin, sleek, glossy, with edge-to-edge glass on the front back, metal around the sides.

The Galaxy S6’s rear-facing camera sensor is 16 megapixels with a wide-angle F1.9 aperture lens that aims to capture more light. It also shoots in real-time HDR features Smart OIS, which can actually track your subject around the room quite nicely.

As for the front-facing camera, it’s 5 megapixels. There’s also an easy shortcut you can use that automatically fires up the camera just by double-clicking the Home button.

Touchz is still in business

ile Samsung did a great job overhauling its phone design, it still needs some work in the interface department.

Here we have a llipop version of its interface, which Samsung still calls Touchz. This is the Quick Settings menu embedded in the notifications shade. It’s still not my favorite, but at least it’s not as busy as it used to be.

There’s a curved one, too

t’s not forget the Galaxy S6 ge: It’s a way nicer rendition of a curved smartphone than the previous Galaxy Note ge. Both of its sides are just subtly curved, there’s no app dock on either side like on the Note ge, either.
