ll, we’ve got a ship date. According to a blog post, Nvidia’s portable gaming system Shield is finally “in full production” will begin shipping on ly 31.

Shield was originally supposed to begin shipping to consumers at the end of ne, but the company postponed the ship date because of mechanical issues. As the company put it: “st month, we made the difficult decision to delay the launch of Shield due to a mechanical issue we found in our rigorous testing process. There have been several bumps along the road in the run-up to Shield’s launch. The portable Android-based gaming system was originally set to ship with an imposing $350 price tag; however the company slashed the price to $300 soon after unveiling the final production model at the recent E3 game expo.

Shield is available for preorder now. If you didn’t make it to E3 want to get your hs on Shield before shelling out the $300, you can try the device in person at GameStop Microcenters.
