Why trust Greenbot
Europe is a funny place. We have this so called “European Union”, but countries operate quite autonomously for the most part. The only reason I bring this up is because I live in Finland, which is a part of Europe, but I can’t buy Nexus devices, despite the fact that Google is officially selling them in Europe. Anyway, today Google has announced that the LTE enabled Nexus 7 is on sale in Germany, Spain, France, and the UK, which is great, but what about everyone else?
This brings me to today’s other awesome news: Google has officially started Nexus devices in Italy. So yes, not only is the LTE Nexus 7 available in Italy, but when the Nexus 5 starts shipping later this year, Italians aren’t going to have to ask their friends in France and Germany to hook them up.
But dammit, why can’t there be an EU-wide Google Play Store for devices? Oppo does it.
Circling back to the Nexus 7, should you buy it? I’ve personally never touched one, but many of my friends abroad have, and they absolutely love it. In fact, when I’m in America next month, there’s a strong possibility I’m going to buy one. Who can say no to a 1920 x 1200 pixel screen, Snapdragon 600 (rebranded as an S4 Pro), 2 GB of RAM, and software updates straight from Google themselves?
