Earlier this month we had reported that Sprint and OnePlus are prepping to launch a OnePlus device. At the time of reporting the details about the device was kept under wraps. We expected it to be a new device from OnePlus, however, Sprint launched OnePlus 7 Pro 5G. The OnePlus 7 Pro 5G is now available in select Sprint stores.
The OnePlus 7 Pro retails at $840 and is available across 21 Sprint stores. If you want to take advantage of 5G networks then the OnePlus 7 Pro is likely the best bet. Sprint is also offering a plan wherein you can lease the device by paying $20 every month. Talking about convenience, the OnePlus 7 Pro can also be ordered online. Interestingly, the OnePlus 7 Pro is the most affordable 5G phone being offered by Sprint. The OnePlus 7 Pro is the first smartphone from OnePlus from Sprint. Sprint is also offering a slew of 5G enabled devices including Galaxy S10 5G, the HTC 5G Hub and LG V50 ThinQ.
Our Take
Sprint recently announced that it will deploy 5G network in New York, Phoenix, Washington DC and Los Angeles. This brings the tally of Sprint’s 5G supporting cities to nine. Other cities include Kansas City, Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, and Dallas-Forth Worth. Users have been able to get speeds ranging between 100-250Mbps on Sprint network.
Fifth-generation/5G is supposedly better in every possible way as opposed to the 4G. 5G technology uses a new digital system that utilizes higher radio frequency to facilitate faster data transfer over the air. Furthermore, the new system also reduces congestion and offers lower latency.
