Samsung today officially launched the Galaxy Note 10 series at its Unpacked event. This time around, the company has launched two variants of the Galaxy Note 10 to better cater to a wider range of audience.

This time around, Samsung has also taken some bold decisions with its Note 10 lineup which includes skipping on the headphone jack and microSD card slot on the smaller Note 10. Both phones will go up for pre-order from today and hit the retail stores on August 23.

Galaxy Note 10 Specs

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 is a smaller version of the Note 10+. It is a value addition to the Note lineup and many might not really consider it to be a true Note due to the compromises it makes. Below are the key specs of the Galaxy Note 10:

The Note 10 does have two noticeable omissions: no headphone jack and microSD card slot. These are features which have always been the highlight of Samsung’s flagship smartphones so it is a bit odd to see the company remove them from the Note 10.

The Note 10 is a budget Note for consumers who are not willing to extend their budget and buy the Note 10+. It packs all the same features as its bigger sibling. This means that the S Pen on the smaller Note 10 offers the same set of features as the bigger Note 10+.

Galaxy Note 10+ Specs

This is the true Note in many ways. It packs a massive screen, oodles of RAM and storage, and almost every possible feature that one could think of. If you want a no-compromise experience, the Note 10+ is what you should buy.

Like the Note 10, the Galaxy Note 10+ also misses out on the headphone jack, though it does come with a microSD card slot.

The Galaxy Note 10 series will be capable of recording videos with a bokeh effect.

The S Pen on the Note 10 series features Air Gestures which will allow users to control the device by simply moving the stylus in front of the display. It now also offers real-time handwriting-to-text conversion and more. Like the stylus on the Note 9, the S Pen on the Note 10 can be used as a remote shutter button in the camera app. Additionally, it can now also be used to switch between the different camera sensors on the Note 10 series.

From the specs, it is clear that the Note 10+ is an out-and-out specs monster. Not only does it come with a massive 6.8-inch display, but it also has an equally big battery and more. While the Note 10+ does support 45W fast wired charging, Samsung only bundles a 25W charging adapter with the device.

The Galaxy Note 10 starts at $949 in the United States, while the Note 10+ starts at $1099.
