Just as rumors had pointed out, OnePlus today announced that it will be unveiling the OnePlus 7 Series at a launch event on May 14. The event will be held simultaneously in multiple locations across the world including Bengaluru, London, and New York.
The event invite from OnePlus itself uses the term ‘OnePlus 7 Series’ which all but confirms that we are going to see two OnePlus 7 variants released here. A regular OnePlus 7 alongside the OnePlus 7 Pro. Pete Lau, OnePlus CEO, has already confirmed that the highlight of OnePlus 7 Pro is going to be its QHD+ display which is going to be “super-smooth” and “crisp.”

Like previous OnePlus events, OnePlus will be selling tickets to its fans for the event as well. They can purchase the tickets, see the OnePlus 7 unveiling live, and get exclusive swag as well.
Leaks have confirmed that the 6.7-inch QHD+ display on the OnePlus 7 Pro will have a 90Hz refresh rate. It will feature a Snapdragon 855 chipset, up to 8GB RAM/256GB storage, triple cameras at the rear including a 48MP f/1.6 primary shooter, an 8MP 3x optical zoom sensor and an ultra-wide angle shooter. Other specs include a 4,000mAh battery and 30W Wrap Charging.
As for the regular OnePlus 7, it will be a modest upgrade over the OnePlus 6T and pack a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 8GB RAM, and a 48MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and a 5MP depth sensor. Both phones will feature a pop-up selfie camera, an in-display fingerprint sensor, and more.
