Earlier this year, Samsung officially welcomed the Galaxy A50 into the family. And now that handset has a lookalike, but with a tilt towards almost high-end.
Samsung today officially announced the Galaxy A70. The handset is basically identical to the Galaxy A50 in most areas, including the triple camera setup on the back. It even features a small teardrop notch on the top of the display. That screen itself measures in at 6.7 inches, though, while the Galaxy A50’s measures in at 6.4 inches.
The back of the phone is Samsung’s “3D Glasstic”, and the display is Super AMOLED. There is 6GB of RAM inside, along with a 4500mAh battery. The Galaxy A70 shares another similarity with the Galaxy A50 in that the fingerprint reader is embedded in the display.
Otherwise, that’s all we have to go on for Samsung’s newest phone. It’s likely that the company is going to release even more information about the newest A-series smartphone on April 10, when another “Galaxy Event” is scheduled. Until then, we will have to wait and see how the pricing and release window shakes out.
What do you think of this design? Better than the “Infinity-O” design that Samsung offers in some of its smartphones?
