Google is going to have a busy 2019 if a new report is any indicator, with a variety of new hardware devices joining the family.

A new report from Nikkei outlines the plans in place by the Made by Google team, according to information gathered from unnamed sources. First up, a device that is rumored to launch in the spring of 2019 under Verizon’s banner in the United States: the Pixel 3 Lite and Pixel 3 XL Lite. According to this report, Google is aiming to undercut the $749 price tag of Apple’s iPhone XR:

“Google’s new smartphone will be its first non-premium model aimed at price-sensitive customers and those in emerging markets. It is expected to be priced lower than Apple’s cheapest iPhone, the XR, which starts at $749.”

Google is planning on updating its smart speaker lineup in 2019 as well, with this report pointing to “an updated version” of the Home. However, details are light on this particular device. But that’s coupled with the report adding a Pixel smartwatch, or Pixel Watch, too.

“The company will also roll out an updated version of its signature smart speaker Google Home this year, as well as a new smartwatch to compete with the Apple Watch, the person familiar with the plan said.”

The Pixel Watch has been rumored so much at this point, but things really kicked up late last year. It was expected that Google would launch the smartwatch at its hardware event in late 2018, but that didn’t happen. So, if this report is any indicator, we should start to hope we see the device later this year.

That is one busy year, and yet none of these things are all too surprising. We have seen a new Google Home on a regular basis, and this report doesn’t indicate if we’re going to just see an update to the current model, or a brand new option. The Pixel 3 Lite is a foregone conclusion at this point, with so many leaks and rumors surrounding the device. And then there is the Pixel Watch, which has been rumored almost as frequently. Google recently acquired Fossil’s smartwatch technology, which could boost Google’s effort in this department in a big way.
