Huawei will be unveiling its first foldable phone at MWC 2019. The company tweeted the teaser of the unveiling of the device at MWC 2019 later this month. Featuring the tagline “Connecting the Future,” the image shows the close up of a foldable phone.
Huawei was rumored to unveil its foldable phone ahead of Samsung but that did not happen. So far, Samsung has given us a demo of its foldable phone and it is expected to provide more details about it at its Unpacked event on February 20 where it will also unveil the Galaxy S10.

Huawei’s foldable phone is likely also going to feature 5G connectivity. While 5G networks are almost non-existent at this point in time, Android OEMs are going to hype it up in a bid to attract new customers.
Alongside its foldable phone, we might also see Huawei unveil its P30 series of smartphones. The P20 series started the trend of triple-camera setup last year which Huawei further improved with the Mate 20 Pro towards the end of the year. For P30, the company is further expected to improve its triple-camera setup and use its new 7nm Kirin 980 chipset to deliver outstanding performance.
Huawei’s MWC 2019 event is scheduled for February 24 at 2 PM Barcelona time.
