While the Razer Phone 2 is designed to work on a variety of wireless networks, including in the United States, getting a major network to actually launch the handset directly would be a big win for Razer.
And that’s exactly what’s happening. AT&T announced on Tuesday that it will be launching the newest gaming smartphone from Razer on Friday, November 16. The handset will make its appearance in several different retail stores on that date, including in Boston, San Francisco, Chicago, and Seattle. On the same day, AT&T will also be hosting gaming events to help introduce the phone.
The full retail price of the Razer Phone 2 on AT&T is set at $799.99. Or you can pay just $26.67 per month for 30 months with AT&T Next, if you prefer the monthly installment route.
The Razer Phone 2 is a flagship smartphone, equipped with a large display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, and a pair of cameras on the back. It’s certainly a noteworthy handset in AT&T’s roster, but will it be able to compete with devices like the Galaxy S9? Perhaps having it in retail stores will help the handset gain some traction.
