Samsung officially debuted the Galaxy A9 earlier this month, marking the first smartphone with a whopping four rear cameras.
And now the company is back with a renamed version of the same handset, along with another mid-ranger, for the Chinese market. The Galaxy A9s and Galaxy A6s are now official, planned for a Chinese launch. The A9s is exactly the same device as the A9, rocking those four cameras on the back and the mid-range specs throughout the rest of the handset.
The Galaxy A6s is where things get interesting, though, as noted today by SamMobile. The Galaxy A6s is actually the first Samsung smartphone to not be manufactured by Samsung. This is the company’s first ODM handset, which means it’s getting manufactured by another company.
The Galaxy A6s is a mid-range handset, featuring a 6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, a pair of 12-megapixel cameras on the back, and a 12-megapixel camera on the front. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor under the hood, 6GB of RAM, and variants that offer either 64GB or 128GB of built-in storage.
Pricing starts at CNY1799 for the Galaxy A6s, and the Galaxy A9s starts at CNY3499.
